Architectural Model
Overview
The BRB Selima Medical College Hospital project, developed by BRB Cables in Kushtia, Bangladesh, comprises a 740,000 sq. ft. healthcare facility designed to accommodate advanced medical, academic, and patient-care functions.
Between 2019 and 2020, a full Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflow was implemented, delivering an integrated LOD 200 model for architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines. The scope included multidisciplinary coordination across essential hospital systems, covering:
1. HVAC Systems
2. Electrical Power & Lighting
3. Fire Safety & Detection
4. Plumbing & Sanitary Systems
5. Medical Gas Distribution
The coordinated BIM environment improved design clarity, supported resolution of system conflicts early in the design phase, and provided a reliable digital model tailored for hospital-grade engineering and planning.
